What is the benefit of coming to Thrive rather than joining another gym?
Thrive Optimal Human Performance is all about value for you, the individual member. Your experience every time you come to the gym, your results. By joining Thrive in comparison to a regular gym membership here is what you get

Can I cancel my package at any time?
All packages are based on a minimum commitment. Once this is complete your package will continue on a month by month rolling basis. If you wish to cancel at any time from that point we require a 30 day notification period from the first of the following month.
Can I carry sessions over?
A success principle we have noticed with our members is when they get to 80% of their planned sessions they get results. The idea off accumulating sessions or doing 4 one week because they missed 2 last week doesn’t work to achieve results. Clients that get results commit to a set number of sessions each week and then turn up the majority of the time, and may miss the odd one or two. Once members know they can “accumulate” sessions it creates inconsistency. For this reason we don’t let you carry sessions over week by week, but you can come to any sessions you choose within you package each week.
Can I trial before committing?
We encourage everyone to take our 30 day trial before making a commitment. You get 2 weekly sessions, a nutrition seminar, and all the team training sessions you can fit in for 30 days.
Can I upgrade my package?
Yes, we expect you will want access to more of our services once you get the Optimal Human Performance experience and start to see results. We encourage our members to upgrade their access.
What if I am away on holiday?
Your package is calculated based on value of your overall experience and the results that you get over the time you spend with us, so your monthly payment stays the same. We don’t charge hour by hour.
Your holidays are factored in to this and you have access to unlimited conditioning sessions and club access if you feel like you want to add sessions before and after your holiday.

What kind of nutrition support is provided?
We understand the importance of nutrition in supporting your health & wellness goals.
That is why as a member you will receive monthly nutrition seminars to ensure you have everything you need. These seminars are backed up by the most renowned nutrition coaching package in the world, Precision Nutrition, which gives you an entire online system to follow including weekly food plans, step by step habit builders, tips, FAQ’s and advice.
For those that with particular health needs we have health testing procedure that goes through Genova diagnostics, a clinical laboratory from which we can recommend certain foods and supplements.
In short, we have all your nutrition needs covered.
Monthly or quarterly body composition measurement provides feedback to ensure your training and nutrition plan are working for you.
Will I be fit enough to join? I don’t want to get left behind?
Our 4 year training cycle covers anyone from brand new to the gym to years of experience, so we have you covered.
Our coaches have a combined experience of over 20 years of coaching clients safely and progressively. We have a simple and effective method for finding out your current level of ability and can then put you with a small group of people in the same fitness category. Our expert coaches then know how to push you just enough within your current abilities to progress.
I want to join but think I have an injury that might stop me from training properly. What should I do?
Our experienced coaches will be able to evaluate your injury and decide if it is something that we can improve on through adapting your training plan or if we need to refer you to one of our specialist physiotherapists to deliver more individual rehabilitation exercises.
You seem to use a lot of weight training, and I just want to lose weight? Is this right for me?
The correct training for weight loss, body composition change or a 5k run or other sporting event is a blend of resistance training and conditioning or cardio based exercise. Your training is based on researched scientific principles used by the worlds top coaches. Read our training methodology for more information. We will take your goal into consideration, look at your current abilities and then prescribe the appropriate amount of resistance and cardio-based exercise for you. Then we will deliver it in a way that is right for you. Your goals and workout experience are what are most important to us.
I play a sport such as running, cycling, hockey or golf. Is this Thrive right for me?
We have seen that creating a better athlete in the gym creates a better athlete out on the road, course or field.
Our coaches have experience applying the training to their own sporting endeavours with consistent results and over 10 years of experience helping amateur athletes perform better, stay away from injury and enjoy their sports more every week.
Exercises and methods can be tailored to individual needs in our semi private or private training to make you better for your sport or event.
How do the session bookings work?
All your sessions must be booked ahead of time through the website on the mindbody app. Here you can schedule you entire training week for your coached sessions and team training.
You can also book your place on our nutrition seminars and additional events in the same way.

How do I book my trial?
Go to the “Trial” section of the website and click to sign up. This will take you through to our contact page for you to call, email or fill in the form. Then we will be in touch to talk through the details and get you scheduled in. If you would like to book a 1 hour consultation session before you decide on the trial contacts us through the contact page in the same way.
